Golf

Golf is a real delight in Jackson Hole. Crisp mountain air, bueatifully manicured courses, and the Teton Range as a backdrop. Better yet, our 6,200 foot elevation assures that your drives will go further!

There are currently two highly-rated courses that provide public tee times by reservation; Teton Pines and Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis, with a third currently working through the development stage. In addition, there are two private courses with homes, homesites and cabins available; Three Creeks Ranch is just southwest of the town of Jackson. The other private club is perhaps the most exciting golf opportunity in the history of Jackson Hole. Shooting Star Jackson Hole is a magnificent new Tom Fazio course right at the base of the Teton Village and the Jackson Hole ski resort. Wildlife Viewing and Photography

The variety of wildlife and scenery in the tri-corner area is simply unbelievable. All four seasons have special wonders. From the soaring peaks of the Grand Teton range to the geysers, thermal features, and waterfalls of Yellowstone National Park, this area is a photographer's paradise. There may be no better place in North America to view wolves, bears, elk, bison, small mammals, birds and migratory waterfowl. With the reintroduction of wolves to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem ten years ago, wildlife expeditions now give all of us the opportunity to see America's most thrilling (and controversial) predator in the wild.

Flyfishing

The three states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho offer unmatched choices for flyfishing. From big brawny rivers like the Snake, the Green, the Madison and the Yellowstone, to technical waters like the Henry's Fork, Silver Creek, and Flat Creek, the selections can delight you for decades. Skiing

The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is universally regarded as one of the finest ski resorts in the world. With an average of more than 400 inches of snow per year and a seemingly endless array of trails, bowls, ridges and couloirs, Jackson Hole offers fun and exciting terrain for skiers of any level.

Grand Targhee Ski Resort is a short drive or bus trip from Jackson Hole and offers another world-renowned skiing experience. Skiers are drawn to the deep, light powder that blankets this flank of the Tetons.

Hiking

Hiking is the universal activity. It brings a family together. Young or old, fit or, ummm, sedentary, anyone can enjoy a walk along our streams or through our mountains. Little more than a good pair of shoes can unlock the beauty and majesty of the West. Whitewater Rafting

Fabulous fun for everyone. The Snake River,one of America's most famous wild rivers, crashes through the Snake River Canyon just outside the town of Jackson. Experienced river guides will take you safely through big rapids like Lunch Counter and Big Kahuna. One of Jackson Hole's most popular summer activities. Horseback Riding

For those who choose to view Jackson Hole from the back of a horse, there are endless opportunities. Dude ranches, trail rides, equestrian centers, and private riding are all available here. Horses have played a vital role in these mountains for hundreds of years.
